The Leaders Mentor

Partnering Your Leadership Journey

Welcome to The Leaders Mentor

We develop leaders to help build better organisations.

Our kind of mentorship goes beyond ‘tick the box’ professional development.

We facilitate a supportive relationship between organisations and their managers to create strong teams, skilled leaders and inspired people.

Investing strategically in your leaders brings a sustainable competitive advantage.

It’s hard to beat that kind of ROI.

Mentored leaders advance their organisation through improved self-awareness, team communication, departmental cooperation, people leadership, management skills, board liaison proficiency and more. Benefits also extend to:

  • Instilling a culture of  learning excellence
  • Living organisational values that support personal and professional growth
  • Producing champions – people who have excelled in their role through mentorship
  • Breaking down barriers to an inclusive culture: ‘We learn together, we grow together!’
  • Facilitating community with everyone working towards a common vision or strategy
  • Creating a mindset of progress for individuals, teams and the organisation
  • Enhancing problem solving skills through encouraging a help-seeking culture
  • Improving strengths within the organisation, attracting the best to do their best
  • Increasing retention rates of high-performing staff by creating a pathway for growth and promotion.

Small Business Recovery and Resilience Mentoring

We work with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and their people to help build critical skills and confidence to become more effective leaders and decision makers who in turn drive maximum, sustainable value for the business.

We support organisations and groups to lift capability and resolve business problems. We assist them to align and integrate company values, improve communication, strengthen teamwork, support and motivate staff to promote positive workplace culture.

The key areas we help guide clients include:

  • Business survival – to strengthen business recovery (cost reduction, and cashflow)
  • Market transformation – to understand how coronavirus has triggered or accelerated market changes
  • Digital literacy and engagement – to help businesses reach new customers
  • Market and supply chain diversification – to reduce exposure to supply chain risks

Who We Work With

My mentor Charles really challenged the way I think, the way I work, and the way I interact with others. I gained a greater understanding of what motivates me and what I value, how I communicate, and how these things have impacted the decisions I have made in the past. Importantly, the process gave me practical methods that I implemented during an important time of transition in my career, and I have no doubt that these methods will continue to assist me in the future.

Jack Noonan
Senior Director IWBI

I chose to engage The Leaders Mentor because I felt that a few of my Executives had some skill gaps and our recent merger made it an opportune time to get them some mentoring help. I saw it as an opportunity for them to develop both professionally and personally, and a way for them to get some different perspectives from Mentors who have experience in other organisations and experience in actually doing what we’re asking them to do.

Joe Arena
CEO Procurement Australia

In a busy and changing environment, it is at times important to be able to pause and reflect. Working with Kerry, I have been able to ask, out loud, the questions that I have been asking myself. Kerry has been able to provide guidance as to what the answers to my questions might be, using real examples to help me come to my own conclusions.

Bruce Moore
General Manager VicTrack

I find workplace mentoring and coaching is of benefit because it is more targeted, specific and personal than other generic education methods. There’s no rule book for a lot of what we do, and the theoretical stuff isn’t as applicable as talking with a TLM mentor who understands the context, can offer advice, confirm my approach or suggest a change in direction.

The main benefits of my TLM mentoring sessions are that they expand my view and give me ideas and insights to think about and try out. I learn new techniques and have access to tools and materials that I can test to see what works with my team and what doesn’t, so I can see what I get a return on and choose what to adopt.

Ivana Horner
Director of Sales Procurement Australia

This is the first time a mentor has given me practical tools and activities to try and challenged me to test my barriers, assumptions and perceptions. She held me to account, called me on my crap and helped me to understand and unpack some of my negative self talk.
